Optimum's Gerard Chick Named as Top Procurement Expert to Follow

Optimum Procurement's Chief Knowledge Officer, Gerard Chick, has this week been named as one of the top procurement experts to follow on Twitter.

In a Vizibl blog post by Alex Short, co-founder of Old Street Labs, Gerard is placed among an elite group of social influencers in the supply management profession.

Gerard writes extensively on topics relating to procurement and supply management, as well as issues affecting business and the economy more widely, and has recently co-written his first book, Procurement's Value Proposition: The Rise of Supply Management. Following the book's release in 2015, Gerard and co-author, Dr Robert Handfield, recently won a prestigious procurement and supply management literary award, Les Plumes des Achats Grand Prix ACA Bruel 2015.

Gerard has considerable experience working with some of the keenest minds in supply management today. He has also produced articles for industry publications including Supply Business, Financial Director and Procurement Leaders. He is a leading authority on strategic procurement and works with senior executive teams across the world on its application.
