Optimum Steps Up To Be Named ‘Major Contender’ in Global Procurement Outsourcing Market

Manchester, UK
14th October 2015

Optimum Procurement Group announced today it has been positioned as a 'Major Contender' by leading research firm Everest Group in their new report, 'Procurement Outsourcing (PO) Service Provider Landscape with PEAK Matrix™ Assessment 2015'.

The PEAK Matrix report is a composite framework that provides an objective, data-driven comparative assessment of 18 pre-selected PO service providers, assessing their global market success and delivery capability across Performance (P), Experience (E), Ability (A) and Knowledge (K).

Following three years of recognition as an 'Emerging Player' in prior PEAK Matrix™ assessments, Optimum has progressed to being designated a 'Major Contender' in the latest report. This aligns the Manchester based company with a number of well-known global procurement service providers, in terms of their relative market success and delivery capability measured by scale of operations, scope, technology and innovation, delivery footprint, and buyer satisfaction.

Rajesh Ranjan, Partner and Head, Business Process Services Research, Everest Group, comments: “It is a step change in Optimum’s delivery capabilities that has propelled them from being an ‘Emerging Player’ to achieving ‘Major Contender’ status, which undoubtedly represents a significant milestone for the company. This progress is also underpinned by the strength of its niche service offerings in vehicle fleet management and energy procurement, helping Optimum attract new clients from both the SMB and Mid-market segments. In addition, a growing reputation for providing transformative procurement services within the emerging Middle East market is noteworthy."

Optimum has enhanced its deep sourcing and category management pedigree through continued investment in specific SaaS technology applications that focus on offering clients a compelling ‘As-a-service’ proposition.”

Peter Rushton, Chief Executive, Optimum Procurement Group, said: “Being recognised by Everest Group as a ‘Major Contender’ in the global procurement outsourcing market is a great honour for us and is testimony to the quality of our people, processes and focus on using innovative technology within client solutions."

It is pleasing to see that once again, we have achieved a high tier buyer satisfaction ranking, and this consistency has given us good momentum in the marketplace, resulting in a strong pipeline of new client opportunities.”
