A 'Major Contender' in the Global PO Market
Optimum Procurement has been positioned as a 'Major Contender' within the global procurement outsourcing market by leading research firm Everest Group in their new report, 'Procurement Outsourcing (PO) Service Provider Landscape with PEAK Matrix™ Assessment 2016'. Optimum is featured for a fifth straight year, achieving a 'Major Contender' classification for a second consecutive year.
Everest Group evaluates service providers along six dimensions – market success, scale, scope, technology and innovation, delivery footprint, and buyer satisfaction levels – to assess their overall PO capability.
The report notes that clients cite Optimum’s high responsiveness, relationship management and industry expertise as key strengths, resulting in the Manchester based company being one of only four service providers to achieve a ‘very high’ Buyer Satisfaction rating. Also highlighted is Optimum’s strong sourcing-focused capability underpinned by sound technological expertise via their proprietary solutions in e-sourcing, fleet management and energy procurement.
Rajesh Ranjan, Partner and Head, Business Process Services Research, Everest Group, comments: 'The PO service provider landscape is evolving, as players continually enhance their capabilities to seize new opportunities. Optimum has reinforced its "Major Contender" status by consistently demonstrating an ability to focus on a variety of innovative strategies to create differentiation in an increasingly competitive market.
'The strength of Optimum’s core BPO proposition is reflected in their continued success within the SMB market segment. This is complimented by the maturing of their niche ‘as a service’ offerings in vehicle fleet management and energy procurement, which provide clients with access to domain specific expertise and technology within a flexible engagement model.
'Notably, Optimum has a growing reputation within the Middle East market by targeting more transformative client solutions that combine their consulting, outsourcing and technology capabilities. Optimum’s focused deployment of a blended service mix is a commendable strategy as it utilises their core strengths and is proving to be a highly valued proposition with clients.'
Peter Rushton, Chief Executive, Optimum Procurement, said: 'The past year has seen the market shift to an agenda that is dominated by procurement transformation, requiring us to adapt to an even more diverse range of client requirements. To be one of the few service providers to achieve a ‘very high’ tier buyer satisfaction rating is particularly pleasing, indicating that our customers are truly valuing the integrated end to end solutions we now offer.
'This recognition from Everest Group demonstrates that we are responding well to the changing market dynamics and is further evidenced by a strong sales pipeline across all of our key market segments.'
