Optimum Procurement is a delivery partner for CIPS Corporate Certification and Supply Transformation Services in The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.



The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is the world’s largest procurement and supply professional organisation. As an influential professional body, CIPS helps organisations achieve all-round excellence in procurement and supply management.

CIPS has a global community of over 103,000 in 150 different countries. It is recognised throughout the world as the voice of the procurement and supply management profession.

The work of CIPS has taken the profession from backroom to boardroom where today’s practitioners play a central role in the strategic direction of their organisations.

Setting a Pathway to World-Class Procurement and Supply

Optimum Procurement operates as a delivery partner to CIPS in the design and delivery of Corporate Certification, the only independent, comprehensive and procurement-specific assessment of its kind. Corporate Certification assesses an organisation’s procurement and supply operations against globally recognised standards, setting a pathway to world-class procurement and supply.

The certification assessment is structured around five dimensions: leadership and organisation; strategy; people; processes and systems; and performance measurement and management. Awards are made at Standard and Advanced levels.

CIPS Middle East Delivery Partner

In early 2013, CIPS appointed Optimum as a delivery partner for Corporate Certification within MENA whilst continuing to use our team as a primary delivery resource for certification work in the UK and China. In addition, Optimum deliver bespoke Supply Transformation Services (STS) to CIPS clients helping them prepare for certification assessment and respond to any competency gaps identified during the certification process.

Optimum resources are all highly experienced procurement practitioners versed in working internationally across a wide range of industry sectors. We have successfully delivered a high number of assessments in the UAE, underpinning the rapid development of the procurement profession within the region. In summer 2013, we also supported CIPS in completing the very first CIPS Certification assessment in China.
