Category Management - Procurement Training Course
Aimed at personnel looking to build and implement a procurement category management framework from the beginning or those looking to reinvigorate their existing sourcing tools and techniques.
This course provides participants with the key insight and enablers to make the step change from traditional purchasing to strategic procurement, focused on securing new and significant incremental value for their organisation, whilst reducing supply chain risk. The course is ideal for personnel who are tasked with reengineering their procurement function to achieve high performance by fully aligning the sourcing function to the needs of the business.
The category management methodology and toolkit is explored in detail covering areas such as stakeholder mapping, sponsorship, market research, baselining and successful measurement.
Attendees will gain an understanding of the sourcing differentiators for category managers and how to unlock the key value levers by utilising and embedding a category management methodology. Category segmentation will also show participants the benefits of organising their spend portfolios into direct categories which impact their core business and indirect categories being matched to non-core administrative activities.
